Situated just a brief five-minute stroll from Jongno 3-ga Station in Seoul, the recently opened Solbangul Bakery stands out with its unique hanok-themed design, reminiscent of traditional Korean houses. Upon arrival, customers are greeted by an adorable sign featuring the bakery’s mascot squirrel holding a pine cone.

Passing through the entrance, patrons are welcomed by the sight of an open kitchen located up front, where the enticing aroma of freshly baked goods permeates the air. Solbangul Bakery boasts an extensive menu, offering over 20 different varieties of bread, tarts, and sandwiches to cater to diverse tastes.

Among their specialties is the rice mugwort bread, featuring ssukgaetteok (mugwort rice cake) within the bread, adorned with walnut toppings. These loaves are thoughtfully displayed on a tray accompanied by a charming squirrel figurine. According to the knowledgeable staff, these bread slices are hot out of the oven each morning when the bakery opens its doors.

The interior of the hanok-themed bakery seamlessly blends modern furniture with traditional Korean elements, including elegant white porcelain. Additionally, the establishment boasts a small outdoor garden adorned with a planted pine tree, providing customers with a picturesque backdrop to enjoy their food. This garden serves as a delightful setting for capturing memorable photos.

For those seeking an elevated experience, the second floor features a terrace where patrons can savor their treats outdoors while basking in the weather. Solbangul Bakery goes a step further in offering private rooms with low tables, inviting guests to sit cross-legged on comfortable cushions placed on the floor.

The bakery is set to introduce a reservation system on the Naver portal platform, allowing customers to secure their preferred spots in advance.
