Our Favourite Eco-friendly Cleaning Tools

This month it’s #PlasticFreeJuly, we are excited to share more content we have planned. Going forward we love to share with you our favourite eco-products for the home, kitchen, beauty and daily life we document our substantial living at home. How we can contribute to our mother-earth without hurting it further.

We all must admit that there is no more delay or excuses for treating our mother-earth better than she deserves. This year many of us must have been experiencing different ways of trauma and we couldn’t deny the fact that we all contribute to the damage. We must say “no more” to plastic, harmful chemical and choose our purchases carefully and always go with an Eco-friendly product or brands to support the cause.

While today we love to share with you more about sustainable skincare and eco-friendly cleansing tools. When come to skincare and makeup, we tend to use a lot more disposable tissue, towel, spatula, cotton pad for cleansing. And that is actually very wasteful and harmful to our earth. Here are some replacement options you can replace with what you are using, it actually helps with our carbon footprint. Stop being convenient and let’s get started!

Always replace with reusable cleaning tools

Here are some of our favourite brands that we have been using and practising at home. It is no hassle at all and this helps us cut down so much waste than in the past. The following list is some of the product you can replace with your current cleaning tools. There are many brands out there but we got ours from scoopwholefoods, Evereco, Seeds and Sprout. Many of you will be asking why to shift to these instead, the main sources of these products we love are from Bamboos, Konjac and Silicone products.

    • Green Clay Konjac Sponge Puff
    • Konjac Sponge for body
    • Foreo Luna Play Plus
    • Bamboo Face Cloth
    • Bamboo Facial Cotton Pads
    • Bamboo Nail Brush
    • Facial Cleansing Brush

Reusable Cotton Pads

Cotton Pads is so convenient to use – we cleanse and throw away. What a fabulous invention! However if we are given a choice to wash the cotton pad and we can reuse it multiple of time why are we eliminate the option that given. They served the same purpose and we simply wash and reuse it again! Even great improvisation from the creators!

Beloved Eco-Materials

Konjac Sponges

Standard cellulose sponges are compostable but usually contain chemicals. Therefore, we should choose something that is eco-friendly and Konjac Sponge is 100%  biodegradable. They can be composted along with your veggie, fruit, and plant remains. Simply dispose of it at garden or yard, how easy is it!

Bamboo

The most important quality of bamboo is its environmentally friendly quality. Pesticides and other chemicals need not be used while cultivating bamboo making it more eco friendly. Pollution is also reduced with bamboo cultivation as the plants reduce up to 35% carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and produce more oxygen. It is durable and therefore the products can last a very long time. We love bamboo at home, from the dining table, wardrobe to facial cloth.

Silicone

They are so durable, it doesn’t easily biodegrade or decompose. While normal plastics break down into dangerous microplastic pieces that can be ingested by wildlife and ocean life, silicone doesn’t break down much at all. We love silicone so much as it lasting pretty in varies design you can find.

Not only this #plasticfreejuly but let’s stop contributing to the waste in the world. We should make the world better starting from our very own self and spaces. Please share with us your favourite eco-cleansing tools. We love to know more about it and learn along with you!

xoxo, Angela.
