Healthy Breakfast | Oreo Milkshake

Milkshakes have been such a fantasy to me since young, from a classic milkshake that you bought from McDonald in the olden day to a fancy jumbo milkshakes at cafes these days!  They are just unbelievable tasty with a thick creamy texture, smoothie and you just never want to stop.

That means this is a vanilla base milkshake made with bits of Oreo Cookie and homemade Oreo cream filling!!! Yeah, the good stuff in the middle! Then it’s topped with MORE homemade cream filling, some more Oreo cookie bits, whipped cream, and more Oreo cookies! It’s pretty much all of your daily calories in one milkshake. Again, I’m sorry.

This is a nice thick milkshake. And cover the top with whipped cream, finely chopped Oreo cookies and shaved chocolate. It is a thick milkshake, it’s easier to drink this way. YUM! I love this. I don’t know why but ice cream is seriously better with Oreo cookies.

How do you eat an Oreo cookie? Are you a dunk-it-in-milk eater? Break it in half and lick off the cream filling? Break it in half, eat the side without the cream filling before eating the good side? Or do you just bite it? Or perhaps one bite?

Ready to make your own milkshakes? Here’s the recipe for the milkshake which also includes the recipe for making homemade Oreo cream filling:

  • 4 large scoops premium vanilla ice cream
  • 3 Oreo cookies, divided
  • 3 tablespoons milk, cold
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup, optional
  • 1 Oreo cookie, divided and finely chopped

Start by finely chop the Oreo into crumbs, set aside a bit for decoration.

Then prepare the glass by adding 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup and cover the lower part of the glass with the syrup. Chocolate syrup is optional but it’s a nice way to serve. Set aside.

In a blender, add in 4 large scoops of vanilla ice cream and 3 divided Oreo cookies, so it’s 6 disks, and 3 tablespoons of cold milk.

And pulse and/or blend until homogeneous. Top it with whipped cream, finely chopped Oreo cookies and shaved chocolate. Served.
